2nd attempt sorry about that Jimney

I have OxyContin my old Gp always to stop confusion wrote OxyContin and Oxynorm

My new GPs well four years insist despite wrong prescription etc etc that they write OXYCODONE MODIFIED RELEASE TABLETS ,I recieved longtec and I told the pharmacist and he said it's basically the same as I'm not prescribed OXYCONTIN I can have any of the oxycodone brands or makes .well the longtec gave me headaches which made me bad tempered and I asked chemist for OxyContin in future he said yes but wants my go to prescribe OXYCONTIN BUT THEY WONT DESPITE THEM MIXING UP OXYCODONE MR TABLETS AND OXYCODONE CAPSULES MAKE SENSE TO ME TO HAVE IT CALLED OXYCONTIN AND OXYNORM.

SORRY ABOUT CAPITALS AND little letters in getting tired

I know oxy is expensive as I have been told I must have MST,ORAMORPH AND ZOMORPH not all together and no thank you

I find oxy has less side effect suits me and I can have bit of control

I'm sure the tablets were longtec I will check

Take care

Be very careful with the Targinact. I have been on high dose MST and suffered the constipation side effects. I was then changed to Targinact, which is oxycodone WITH naloxone added, to stop the constipation. Naloxone is what is given when heroin addicts etc overdose as it cancels out the drugs. When its added to oxycodone, it DOES allow the pain relieving element to work, but negates everything else, which can lead to withdrawal. I was given these tablets and the withdrawal was absolutely AWFUL !! So be aware of that. Thats not the reason I stopped taking them, as the withdrawal would have settled down, but they irritated my stomach which would have lead to an ulcer for me

Mine writes Oxycodone 20mg MR and pharmacist orders Oxycontin. You do need to ring around at times to find out 'what they tend to order' as they will not just order for you most of the time. Even a good place I used on the NHS, still would try and give me stuff from Romania when I asked for UK only. Say what you would like, before you hand over anything.
