I have been having severe burning sensation for over 10 years and have contacted so many doctors without knowing the problem. Now i have hip pains on both sides and the pains move down my legs and causing my toes to go norm.I cannot actually describe the pain and how i feel.Is very painful when i stand for an hour or walk for about 200 meters.
After MRI scan i was operated for NHP that nerve hernia but after two weeks of the operation it became worst. The pain is just unbearable to stand or walk. Any idea please?

Hello Nembaku. I have a similar experience in that I have pain in my buttocks and also in the front and side of the left leg. It is not a burning sensation just severe pain. I can only stand for a few minutes and walk for about 100 metres. The drs have been unable to identify a cause but I am going to the pain clinic on 25 June so maybe they will help. Do you think an MRI scan would help? I am at my wit's end and am being referred for walking aids. The funny thing is that I can walk no bother until the pain starts. I am very flexible too.
Sounds like it could be bursitis of the hip, however it may be referred pain, or it if shoots down your leg then it could be nerve pain from a trapped nerve. You need to find a good doctor, who'll take you seriously and refer you to a specialist of refer you to have a scan. Where exactly is the pain, does it burn or feel bruised or ache? Also are you on any pain meds? Ask for referral to the pain clinic as they can be very good. Also do as much research as you can to help understand what is happening and to arm you with ideas for when you see your doctor. Good luck
Echo what sharrelle is saying try and find a good dr and push for scans and x rays . My pain is like yours been told its nerve pain my hip is very painful you need good painkillers if your are on any ?? plus if your not sleeping like I was ask to be put on Amitriptyline also try hot water bottle or a ice pack wraped in a towel All the best
Any kind of pressure on nerve roots in the lower back can cause pain in the buttocks, hips and down the legs. I know that because I have been suffering from the same thing. I just had a Cat Scan and it showed the problems which are causing me pain. The doctor put me on Lexapro and to my surprise it helped to take the edge off of my pain. Don't give up. I live in the US and I now only go to to the big teaching hospitals. It's the best way to get help.
