Whoosh

What I want to know is where has my whoosh gone when I send an email.

I never realised till it disappeared how much it cheered me up.

A bit like bits of me that are subsumed by pain.

I have just updated my address book. It has been a wake up call to review my life, I have let so many people and so many things disappear.

Whoosh

Thought we'd not seen much of you on here lately. I've missed your little insights and your sense of humour.

Welcome back, and don't let you-know-what grind you down.

Thanks for your words of encouragement.

Do you listen to Radio4? Next week Inside Health is doing a piece on Trigeminal neuralgia? Probably won't offer any new insights but you never know.

What would we do without radio. The habit started with listen with mother, they must have had music on with it because I remember waiting in joyous anticipation for the "Sugar Plumb Fairy".

I remember when there was no tv and I loved the radio. I don't watch much telly, the last two weekends I have not put it on at all. Am also an avid reader, my morning ritual is to take the meds and lose myself in a book, takes the mind of pain. If I didn't have radio 4 my husband would not get fed, sees me through the cooking process! Have a good day, Ann.

Books. If I do nothing else at work but nurture a love of books in the children. I will be happy. What are you reading? I have a Kate Atkinson on the go. Life after Life. I nearly gave up with it but am so glad I carried on. I figure life is too short to waste time on a book the does't grab within the 1st 50 pages. I will often read the end to see if it's worth it.

Do you listen to radio 2? I got into it via a lovely old lady of 95. I am listen to old songs from 1962 with Tony Blackburn. I was 7 when they first danced out of the radio. It has become a bit of a ritual on a Saturday if I am about. Even man about the house hums along. Just heard an Akers Bilk piece now that is a name from the deep dark past. With eyes shut I can sometimes float along with the pain listening to music. And I do have the good fortune of being mobile and can be seen bopping, all be it stiffly, around the living room.

May the sun be shining over you.

Ned
