I had such a good time at the Champagne Tea with Ovacome on Saturday. This has become an important annual fund raising event for Ovacome now in its fourth year.
We were treated to a fabulous afternoon tea in London's May Fair Hotel; delicate sandwiches, dainty cakes, scones jam and cream and tiny trifles. The works! This was followed by an afternoon of entertainment and much laughter. Key moments were the fashion show featuring members of the Ovacome younger women's group as models, and speaker MP David Lammy.
The event was founded by Adele Sewell, one of our ROCCs, and every year it gets bigger and better. She is helped by a committee of Ovacome members and her friends and supporters. The Tea is a real show case for Ovacome, and it raises an important amount of money for the charity. So watch out for news of Tea with Ovacome 2014 on the website, on Facebook and Twitter and in the newsletter, and buy your tickets early because they sold out this year. And thank you Adele, and the committee - again.
