Dear All

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to make it to Members Day at the weekend, it was lovely to see so many of you there. For those of you who couldn't make it, the talks will be put up on our YouTube channel and we'll post to let you know when they are available.

We're also planning a further Members Day later in the year when hopefully the weather will be better and won't interfere with travel plans! We'll provide details on this once they are confirmed.

If you're not a member of Ovacome and would like to be, you can join on our website here: ovacome.org.uk/support/spea...

You receive a newsletter 3 times a year (e-zine only if you are not in the UK) and an invite to members day. We are looking to expand our offer of membership and with this in mind there is a new poll which you'll see over to the right of the My Ovacome home page. If you have a moment please do let us know what you'd like included as part of the offer to members and any further suggestions you have would be great to hear.

If you have any comments or queries, please do get in touch with me.

Best wishes

Anna

How do I opt-out of a certain group or community? I was in ones for colon cancer, Ileostomies, chemo, neuropathy and stuff I had/have. Now I only seem to be getting emails regarding things I know nothing about, at least one of which appears to be all ladies so I can add little useful, exceot things that apply to anyone with cancer and I actually feel like an intruder. I even got a PM from a lady asking if I was a "chap". That was what really clued me into the fact that I must be in a group for a ladies-only type of cancer. (I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed) I have searched on and off for a couple of weeks trying to find out how to opt-out of these things with no luck. Helpp!!! I think perhaps I am not even on the correct website but I get emails rrom here every day.

Thanks,

Tom

Hello Tom

Thank you for your comment. You are very welcome to be a member of My Ovacome if the conversations around neuropathy and stomas are of help to you, although it is primarily a site for those affected by ovarian cancer. If you would prefer to unfollow My Ovacome, there are details of how to do so here: support.healthunlocked.com/... Do get in touch if you need any further help.

Best wishes

Hi Anna,

Thanks very much for your reply. I know that we all have an awful lot of things in common including feelings, fears etc. no matter what kind of cancer or ailment we may have. Perhaps I won't drop out for now but at least now I know how to. I also ended up in some other group that is not even cancer. I can't even think of the name (chemo brain). But I find these forums to be just wonderful because I really have no one to talk to about what I am experiencing or feeling. My wife doesn't really wan to hear about it and my daughter will just get worried about me. My fiends can't realte at all.

Happy labour day,

Tom
