Things are definitely busy at some units...... Eventually got my bed at 5pm yesterday, aftervwaiting since 11am, but my bloods showed I needed fluid before I could have my chemo.... 16 hours later I finished that, then had to wait for new blood results before they could order my chemo, which eventually started at 3.45 pm. Left hospital at 8pm, to the relief of the person that had been waiting for my bed all day. I apologise to them whoever they were. That was treatment no 6 for me, so ct scan and bloods in three weeks to see what is happening. I hope t is to my kidneys packing up after all this time. Fingers crossed.
All the very best, Viv. It's been a long rocky road for you and you've borne it with great humour and fortitude. Will be hoping for the very best results when you have your scan. It's good to hear that things are heading in the right direction for you
What a bore Viv! Quite literally hanging around hospital with nothing to do is so tedious! I had to hang around all day waiting for my lumpectomy, even the crossword and the kindle couldn't keep me distracted.
