Pains?

A question please ladies.

I've got a little leaky wound, just a small amount of blood not more than a few spots and it's not bright red from one of my stitches, everything else healing nicely, but also either side of my surgery site I keep getting a stining pain, what is it?

I think it might be the stitches healing. They are itchy. If you're worried tomorrow I should go over to your oncology nurse and ask her for an opinion. xxxx Annie

Hi Tia,

Sorry that you are having problems with you wound...I would agree with Annie and give your nurse a ring tomorrow or the Ovacome nurse before the weekend starts....I was advised not to go in the bath but just have a shower letting clean water run over the scar (not use soap or shower gel)love x G x

I had yellowy orange weeping from my wound, and was told this was nothing to worry about as the wound was healing nicely. It stopped once the stitches were removed. The stinging could be to do with the healing process, perhaps the nerves waking up again. I would ask your nurse or doctor to be sure.
