Hi Suzanne,

I had weekly Topotecan a number of years ago and am actually struggling to remember the side effects., All I can remember is that my hair had just regrown back, so thick and so curly and the Topotecan thinned it out again. I lost all the curl and the thickness and it has sadly never gone back to pre chemo.

Sorry I can't help you any more, but I have had so much chemotherapy now I really can't remember which one caused the palms of the hands to itch. I know most cause mouth ulcers, I didn't have nausea with it that's for certain.

When does your new treatment start ?

Good luck.

Hi Suzanne

I have just finished my first week of Topotecan last Friday, went better than I anticipated just going backwards and forwards to the hospital each day takes a big chunk out of the day but we have got to give it a go. Feeling tired but not too extreme. Have you started your treatment yet?
