Hi All, Thanks for all the support last week when i was really feeling down. I've now seen the consultant and have a scan scheduled for next week - I've also had a repeat CA 125 done and it's come down from 78 to 48 so I'm really pleased. My mum had her scan result last week and doesn't have to go back for 3 months unless she starts to feel unwell - this is the best news we could have hoped for for her so we're really pleased about that too! Just want to say thanks again to everyone for their support.

Hey Marion! Great that you're having the scan too! Good blood results but as I said CA125 are not always accurate....... they found a 10cm mass in me and my blood count was only 62 - so scan is the was to go. Good luck with that and great news for your Mum too! Kep positive ok? x

Hi Marion,

Yay but scans are not always correct either, my internal ultrasound and CT scan showed that my cancer had spread all over the abdoman.

It looked real bad and I was warned.

They were clear to tell me I`d need 3 sessions of chemo before surgary followed by another 3 sessions of chemo afterwards.

I wasn`t sure if I believed in God but I prayed real hard.

A little over a week of both scans I went in hospital for a laporoscopy and the cancer in my abdoman wasn`t anywhere to be seen. So they decided to get hold of my husband on his mobile phone to get conscent to do the big op there and then. It was a bit of a shock when I came round from the anysthetic but a wonderful shock.

Miricles do happen, the cancer was actually contained to the ovaries apart from cells found in the wash and a little had spread to the edge of the bowel and they found a second primary cancer in its early stages in my uterus so it was kill two birds with one stone and so far all is well.

So, if the scan does show something it may not be as bad as you think - I so hope I`m right luvie. All the very best of luck always from Tina with love xxx
