Hi Ladies,I have had some good news to day my 125 was1300 now after two treatments of Carbplatin and Caelyx and it is now 780 still high, but will have more treatment Monday then a ct scan and my oncologist will look at continuing.
It would be nice to have a break as I feel like I've been on chemo for the last 2 1/2 years. I don't drink so I'll have some chocolate instead. Cheers and my best wishes to you all Lorraine ππ

It's going in the right direction so that's good, hopefully it will keep this trend up and you can take a break soon. Chocolate is my vice too, I can't drink either π₯ Enjoy the treat and keep up the good work β€οΈXx jane
I was thinking about you the other day. How are you finding Carbo/Caelyx?
My special person finds mouth ulcers the worst with this treatment, like yourself her CA125 has gone right down but they're doing her CT scan at the end of treatment as they're using her CA125 as a guide considering it's gone down so far, also they're gonna put her on Niraparib as her Onc has said she's responded really well to Carbo and it's been proven to work for all not just those that are BRACA positive so it might be worth chatting to your Onc to see if they can do that for you? I do on what you mean about the 2.5yrs of treatment a nice long break would be fantastic πβ₯οΈπ Xxx
Hi, CallmeMum, are you in the U.K. ? As I didn't think Niroparib was available yet over here, unless on a trial. Is it a trial that that the oncologist is speaking about ? If so do you know the name of the trial?
Hi lovely yes we're in the UK I don't know the name of the trial and she didn't say it was a trial all the Onc said was it needs to start within 3 months of finishing chemo and can be issued under certain circumstances she was quite vague generally always is but as my special person said anything is better than nothing it would be worth asking your Onc about it as I said to her about PARP inhibitors for people that are BRACA negative and that's what she suggested xxx
HI Callmemum. Thank you glad your special person is doing well on carbopltin and caelyx, Monday will be my 3rd treatment and I'm finding it easy no side affects just a little sick same days and I'm having trouble with my teeth some are lose and I have lost a filling this I think is from all the chemo.
I had more side affects when I was on single Caelyx.
I said to my husband the other day soon I'll be hairless ,toothless and over weight plus two bad knees, I had one replaced last year while on break from chemo also have cancer BUT I'M STILL HERE.
Niraparib sound interesting I will talk to my oncologist about it next time I'm in.
Please give my best wishes to your lovely special person and I'm sure she is also lucky to have a special person..Cheers Lorraineππ
