Newly DIagnosed
I'm sorry to read of your diagnosis, but you will find that the information as it applies to you evolves and changes over the next period of diagnosis, treatment, and afterwards. As you feel able, familiarise yourself with the information that is around that wil help you to decide what it is you need to do to get through what will be a frightening and worrying time.
Consider your environment - stress, fitness, diet and support, and recognise that there might be a good deal you can do to give yourself the very best chance to beat this.
Wishing you the very best, three healthy and happy years after treatment for advanced aggressive cancer of both ovaries and lymph nodes.
Isadora.
Welcome Kaskin
You'll find many friends here. I'm glad you've found this site though none of us wants to be here.
Take heart and courage. A diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer doesn't mean you're written off. You'll meet many women with busy careers and interests here who are a great inspiration.
Loads of love, Annie xxx
Hi like your self I was diagnosed on the 29th May this year only just over a week ago. I was deverstated like every other women who is told they have cancer. I just saw the black side. I have now been told I am starting Chemo on the 18th June and although it will be pretty bad going through it at least they are moving quickly. This site is great because we are all going through the same thoughts, pain and emotions. I am trying to be positive as I have a husband, childreen and 7 granchildren who all need me nd love me. Hope your feeling better now keep in touch with everyone here, Babs x
Hi Kaskin
It's no use telling you not to worry, but try to follow the advice about looking after yourself and do have hope. There is so much that can be done and it may not be as bad as you thought at first. I had cancer of both ovaries and omentum and that was nearly 10 years ago. I'm still healthy and still counting my blessings, which seem to get greater each year! I won't tell you all the details, you can read them on my profile by clicking on my name. Just wanted to say welcome to our lovely supportive community. You will never be alone on here and there's always someone who can help you to come to terms with your worries, or say well done when you have milestones and happy moments.
Good luck, keep in touch
Love Wendy xx

Dear Kaskin,
Sorry we have to welcome you to this site, but you will be among instant, understanding friends. Personally I found the beginning the worst time. Once you get onto treatment you know things are moving along. Try to stay as positive as possible and look after yourself. Family and friends are wonderful but no one understands like the ladies on here.
Very best wishes and a hug. x
Hi Kaskin
I also felt as you did following my diagnosis. My gynae surgeon/doctor was enthusiastic planning my treatment after my diagnosis and seemed so positive. However my oncologist was all about my advanced 3c OC being incurable but could be managed. Do take heart that there is always hope. You will find many OC survivor stories out there. You're not a statistic and every case is individual. It will all seem very scary, but after the first chemo out of the way, everything will be less so.
Take Care and all the best with the treatment
Sue

Yes your life will change but you can find new beautiful “treasures” that you never had before & a lot of wonderful things can happen during this difficult time. This what happened to me to a point that now when looking back I’m thankful for this sickness & for the miracle of healing. You do have to look for the positive though, & to face life bravely & know that this difficult time will pass & you will be able to enjoy life again in a deeper way. You are loved & you will find now new friendships & deeper more meaningful relationship with your family & friends.
