I went to the hospital today for my 3 monthly check up. Some of you may know that I have not been feeling too well recently and that my GP thinks its my gall bladder. My consultant this is is more likely to be a reoccurrence and is booking me in for an urgent CT scan. I don't know what my CA125 is yet that won't be available until tomorrow.

Brief Update
Hi ScardyCat,
You must be feeling very anxious. Good luck for tomorrows result and not too long a wait for the scan. Not knowing is so difficult. Best of luck. Thinking of you. Liz
Hi ScardyCat
You must be so worried, but just think of all those people who go through a "normal" gall bladder problem. It may very well be unrelated. I'm sure your consultant is just ruling anything out to be on the safe side. Try to plan something nice for yourself this weekend. Maybe a little treat with a friend ... cake always hits the spot with me Or maybe not with the gall bladder thing going on! Sorry ... me and my mouth
If you go through any bad patches, just get on here, have a rant, write a poem, we'll try to help you through this. Good luck tomorrow.

I'm just doing my usual routine. Having acupuncture tomorrow, doing a park run Saturday morning as I'm pretty close to my 50th run so get a tshirt then. Sunday I have a coffee date.
Good for you Scardycat! Trying to stay "normal" has served me well! Good luck for your test results! If it is a resurgence good luck with your next round of treatment!

Hi Scardycat
So sorry that you have had this setback. I cannot imagine how you must be feeling.
Accupuncture is wonderful isn't it and wow doing a 50th run ...well done.
I hope that the CA125 result is reassuring.

Hi Scardy
Oh blooming 'ec!!!!
I bet you have mixed emotions at the moment, as you are again put into limbo whilst you wait for your scan etc. It could still be unrelated to the cancer, but until you are proved otherwise its a tough time. On the bright side, at least your onc is taking your concerns seriously by booking you an urgent scan and not fobbing you off. If it is bad news at least the process has started.
Best try to keep busy. So, do you want to tell us some more about this coffee date?
Vx
He's a mountain biker about my age. Seems very chatty and friendly. He knows about the cancer but it hasn't put him off so far
That is really good news, maybe life is starting to look up for you! Hope so. Even if he turns out to be a really good mate at first, it will be a good thing to have someone to talk to about all sorts of life experiences, it's always fascinating to find out about other people's ideas and experiences. Enjoy your weekend

Hi Scardy cat
Good news about the ca125. Have had 3 recurrences and the ca125 always went steadily up ,never down! It is good that you are getting the scan though, just to be sure.Presumably gallstones will make themselves known on a ct scan?
Sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned.Enjoy.

I don't know but I had a separate ultrasound this week that was organised by my GP. Its just my CA125 has yet to return to normal
