A tad nervous!

I am being admitted to hospital tomorrow for full pelvic clearence and my spleen removed. I am more worried about the operation being cancelled than going through it at the moment! I have had the week from hell and cant wait to get this flaming tumour out. I am going to ask the surgeon if i can have it to take home so I can kick it up and down the street! Is anger at an inanimate blob of human tissue a normal reaction or am I in need of some psychiatric help? At the moment everything that goes wrong is 'the tumours fault' and I am talking to, and frequently swearing at the huge swelling in my abdomen. So good riddance tumour from Thursday you are history!!!!

Go girl....a great blog. Good luck tomorrow!!!!

Will be thinking of you!!

I'm sure surgery will go ahead as scheduled. Anger strikes me as a healthy reaction. Probably no point in wishing young good night's sleep but focus on the end of the week when the op is over.

Rooting for you

Dear JBobDot

Good luck with your op. I hope it's all a huge success. You did make me laugh at the thought of bringing home your histology bundle and kicking it down the street. An excellent idea. I wish I'd thought of it myself.

Let us know how you get on. My friend had a spleen removed as part of the process to treat her tumours and she has made an amazing recovery.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Good luck with it all.

Hi there Jbdot

Want to add my good wishes to those of the ladies above , I really hope all goes well for you. Waiting for the blooming operation is by far the worst part and you will feel physically much better once that thing is taken out of you.

Love
