Lung tumour related to OC

My recent scan has shown a small but obviously significant tumour in my lungs which is related to my recurrent OC. Has anyone else has this happen to them and what treatment was suggested?

Hi Hetty,

I am on second line treatment for recurrent O.C mine is in between my liver and lung I am back on Chemo and my symptoms have gone, my CA125 was 253 and has gone down to 150 I am on a trail drug + Paclitaxel once a week my O.C was platinum-resistant. it returned shortly after 3 months.

Thanks Sarah23. I've been offered Capecitabine and Oxaliplatin which are for bowel cancer type things possibly because mine is a mucinous OC? Just hope they work!

Hetty sorry to hear about the spread to the lungs.

Mine too spread to the lungs and lymph nodes, liver, kidney and abdomen. The lungs and lymph nodes are in remission, thanks to a drug trial, whilst the others have shrunk by more than 50%. Now we have problems with possible cells trying to settle around the colon so treatment has changed yet again. My new treatment is for Colon cancer, so like you I hope it works.

We have to be positive.

Love Anna xx

Thanks Spanishanna. I've read a lot of your posts with interest and it's good you can give me some really useful information. Could you tell me the name of the trial drug they gave you please, gives me another question to ask the oncologists!

Really great that your tumours are in remission. I hope the new chemo works for you as well. Keep positive.
