Hello I have been diagnosed with cancer of the stomach and ovaries, nothing can be done but my legs have swollen from the feet to just above the knees and it'scalled lymphoedema so painfull and hard and if anyone can give any advice on getting relief from it then I would love to know please.

Hello Juniper43.

I’m so sorry to read your post.

The team that gave you the diagnosis should have discussed the possibility of a referral to your nearest lymphoedema service (your GP could also arrange this) They would carry out an assessment and might be able to offer you specialist compression socks to assist with moving the fluid and advice about managing this problem.

You mention that there is no treatment for your cancer. I’m wondering if you’ve been referred to a palliative care team, they will be able to discuss this issue and any other problems/concerns.
