hi, I have had ovarian cancer symptoms for around 2 weeks now, my ultrasound was normal and so was my ca125 but I feel something is wrong! I literally look pregnant and there is so much pressure! Can an ultrasound and ca125 miss this? As the ultrasound was clear! I have an mri on Tuesday x

Ultrasound can miss it. I speak from experience but I feel the CT will give you answers. The very best of luck. Try not to worry too much. I too am having a CT on Tuesday. I’ll be thinking of you whilst I have mine

Possibly better in my opinion. I’ve not had an MRI

Hi, cookiemonster97, Might your symptoms be irritable bowel syndrome? They are very like the symptoms of OC. Fingers crossed 🤞. I. B. S. is bad enough but better than OC. Good luck with the out come, wishing you well ♥ xx.

Hi A1r1t, potentially, I've always had foods that can irritate my stomach but usually I bloat for a few hours, feel a bit gassy then it eases but this bloating has been constant the whole 2 weeks and I've got so much heaviness and just pressure down in my belly around where my hips are xx

The MRI will show if anything abnormal in abdo is causing your symptoms. Always stressful having symptoms and tests but you are being checked out so hang in there

My ultrasound didn’t show, but the CT scan did show. Sending my best wishes, Donna

Thinking of you! How did it go? I have had 2 swollen groin lymph nodes for 5 months on 1 side and now 1 on the other that is a little swollen. I have had off and on pelvic pain thats been worse when havimg a bowel movement for almost 1 year. I had 1 CT without contrast in December and they saw just a kidney stone and another pelvic CT with contrast this month and it came back all clear besides constipation which is the same as it has been for 6 years due to lack of peristalsis which we have already known. I identify the pain now as my ovaries but it originally started on 1 side and now its both. It hurts worse when I walk or move certain ways and like I said when having a bowel movement. I had a pelvic ultrasound in March that said the lymph nodes were "normal". I am scheduled for a transvaginal and pelvic ultrasound in 1.5 weeks and then a Gynocologist visit a couple days after the testing. I have also had more clear discharge lately. My mom was a BRCA 1 gene careier but mine came back negative for either BRCA gene. I have a long family history of breast cancer so I am very concerned. I hope you are doing well and that you have gotten good results!

I’m afraid they can miss OC. My initial US scan missed it (done in April ‘22). It said that the left ovary could not be visualised and instead of trying harder to see the left ovary could be seen no further action was taken. Guess where my OS was?

Have you had a vaginal ultrasound or just an abdominal US scan? Get a vaginal scan if not. Check that both ovaries could be seen. GP should be able to let you read the report. What is your CA125 level? Normal is under 35.

Your symptoms could be something else so don’t panic it is worrying but keep pushing see a different doctor perhaps
