effusion pleural

just shoked CT scan for chest… nothing found and 1.5cm efflusion in right pleural spece is it cancer efflusion correct? Who had such and is ir big or not? 2 month ago scan ther was clear :(((

Hi, in my case, when I got diagnosed with cancer I had 1.8 litres of pleural effusion so yes it was one of the signs of cancer. But I don't know whether it can be caused by other things.

Do you have any other symptoms at the moment?

that my mom, she deffinetly have recurrance but was watch and wait, her ca 125 is up and she had a big hernia wich became bigger last 2 month and she has some discomfort… 2 mth ago her chest was clean and now this 1.5cm , i dont know how much it is but probably around 150ml?

I'm sorry for you and your Mum. I'm about to go on watch and wait and it is nice to have a break from treatment but of course it makes you feel nervous.I hope they can drain the liquid and give your mum some good information about whether she needs more treatment now.

i think they will not drain as it is very small amount, she is without chemo since 15.09 there is also some actve noodels

Me too. I can see that you worry a lot about your Mum. It's so difficult but don't worry, she will have plenty of good times too. X
