Hi Ladies, From two months now I have my level of creatinine going up (130). It's probabely due to toxicity of all my previous treatments. Despite of drinking a lot (2 l per day) it doesn't drop. Today I have a CT with contrast which my kidneys will have to metabolise. As my cancer progresses very soon I will be facing another round of chemo, but I'm worried to develop a kindey's failure. My onco doesn't seem to be worried about this. Any tips how to deal with that issue?

I have received my blood results this month for the first time and my creatinine was off the scale. I checked with my GP and she was not worried saying it had been like that since 2013. I see my oncologist next week so maybe will find out more. Hopefully we are worrying over nothing.
I noticed only yesterday that mine creatinine level is elevated when my platelets are low, which was the case last week. This week, my platelets are back in a normal range and so is my creatinine. That was encouraging. But I totally understand your concerns as I've had the same thoughts about eventual kidney failure with all the chemo I've gotten over the past 7 years.
