Ive been agonising over blood results and CT scan. Just had phone consult, there is a change in that my adrenal gland is enlarged. Nothing else showing at the mo. CT125 has gone up 4 points over the past 2 months after being stable for 15 months. Consultant says it looks suspicious but to watch and wait. What does this mean re adrenal gland anyone know. I do have reduced kidney function anyway but doc says this wouldnt cause enlargement.

I wish they could tell us what could be causing these things and formulate a plan to deal with them. This wait and see is so reactive. Let's hope it's nothing serious. I have been told my liver results are abnormal. GP has referred me for ultrasound at least. Don't they know we worry ourselves our sick? I would much rather have more information.

I mean why does it take a recurrence for my CNS to say a recurrence was 80% probable? Forewarned is forearmed in my book.

Hi. First, I am surprised your consultant is worried about a 4 point rise in CA 125. It seems like you’d need to see more of a trend. I know watching and waiting is hard but the way I look at it any time you’re not poisoning your whole body with chemo is a plus. Also it gives you time to look up trials. Re the adrenal gland did he/she suggest any further testing? From what I understand that could be related to some kind of hormone imbalance. Maybe they could do a PET scan to rule out malignancy? You could call the Ovacom helpline to discuss it. Xx
