I just wanted to pass on that my wife and I celebrated her 10th year of remission last May. She's been through all the chemo regimens you are familiar with, and ended up on the PARP inhibitor, Zejula.
It has been a roller coaster ride; we've been up and we've been down. But she feels fine, goes to the gym every day and plays with the grandkids. Most of the time, we forget that she had a problem.
This disease can be managed long term. We never feel that we are out of the woods, but we do feel that her cancer can be controlled.

Hi, wonderful news. I was just wondering what stage was her cancer, did she have debulking surgery, how long was she on Zejula, how many breaks off from side effects and what is her age? Also, is the 10 years after diagnosis?
Stage 3C; on various chemo regimens for 7 years, then Zejula. She could only handle one pill a day. It's been 10 1/2 years since her debulking surgery.

Hi again, how long was she on Zejula? Is she BRCA positive and what dose? I have been on Zejula for a little over two years with a few breaks along the way, because of my blood numbers. I also had a blood transfusion a little over a year ago. I live in the U.S. and my Dr. said that three years is the limit on taking Zejula. I was wondering how long was your wife on this drug. Some dr’.s only give you two years, depending on side effects. Sorry about my many questions, just curious about a few things. Thanks, Donna. ( I am on 100 mgs.). lowered my dose (200 mgs. was too strong).
She's BRCA negative. My wife began with two pills/day but couldn't tolerate it. So down to 100 mg/day for about 3 years. She is off it now, but still doing well.

Thats brilliant news l. I was diagnosed stage 3c in 2020, reoccourance this year. Once i knew it was treatable but not curable I couldnt see past another 2 years but ur post has given me hope. Thank you for posting your great news as ppl like me really need to see this and gives us hope x

Aawww, huge congratulations on your wife's 10yr anniversary. Im stage 4b and at 2 yrs, very very scared, but olaparib seems to be keeping me going. Its so heartwarming to hear such good stories 💪❤️

I am 3c, BRCA and HRD negative and had the sixth and last chemo on Friday. I surprised myself by feeling emotional at the end of the long session…the structure was over.
I had very low bloods throughout and a bowel obstruction; am now researching niraparib. Your post has given me a lot to think about. A lovely way to start the day here in sunny UK. 🌟
So good to hear survival news! Coming up to 9 years for me. After two operations followed by chemo, I still can’t quite believe it. I tell people I am ok, I think! Annual CA 125 tests help reassure me that I am either fine or not and at least If the results aren’t good, I can get on and hopefully do something about it. Not posted for a couple of years but so good to read positive news. Xx
Hello, I was diagnosed with 3c in February 2012. I had the usual debulking surgery followed by chemo. I am BRCA2 positive and I had breast cancer in 2008. I am 70 now and fortunate enough to have had no recurrence to date. I do have lymphoedema in both legs and my right arm as a result of the surgeries, but a small price to pay for being pretty healthy. I tend not to post as I feel guilty that I have been so fortunate when others have not. Today I just wanted to say that there are longer term survivors out here and hope that knowledge may help in some way x
