Sepsis

I’ve now had sepsis which got into my blood and caused uririnary sepsis Blood pressure dropped dangerously low so they’ve been try too get me stable in ITU then HDU. I’m on a ward now hopefully improving I’ll be in for a good few days yet and more iissues to face. Know one knows why this is happening. Got 2 wee bags one each side draining my kidneys which I will be going home with. I’ve just got to get on with it all. They’ve grown the big so are now treating with correct antibiotics. It’s been a nightmare x

That sounds pretty miserable. I had sepsis after frontline but it was from pneumonia and my kidneys were okay. Hopefully they'll make sure you're okay before sending you home. Those intravenous antibiotics are powerful but then they have side effects too. OC--the gift that keeps on giving . . . I hope things go as well as possible. I'm sending virtual hugs and hope for improvement. xx

So sorry to hear this , wishing you a speedy recovery, I'm sure it feels like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders with too much to cope with , you're a strong lady ,but even the strongest of us feel it's all too much sometimes .Could you have had a UTI infection without realizing it ,that's how I ended up with sepsis . Hi there I too suffered from sepsis and ended up in hospital three times. It was caused by my body reacting very badly to a stent which caused bad infection. It was replaced but happened again so then they removed the stent and I had a nephrostomy and wee bags like you. After 6 months my kidneys were back to almost normal and they removed them- thank God! Have you got a stent? I hope they sort it for you. Good luck.
