Hello Tezzaa66

I don't start my first ever chemo until Monday 8 August so I can't offer any advice.

Just checking to see how you are doing now.

Hugs x.

Oh yes ! I remember that looooong wait in A&E rolling with agonizing pain and severe vomiting last November.....not 15 hr but 10 definately And not even given a bed and drip first time , just send home with " You bloods is allright" ". Then after crying to Marsden that I wont go to A&E again, they found me nice bed and sorted me with a drips and special diet ))

Tezza, so sorry to hear this. Having had first line chemo with minimal side affects and generally being 'ok ' after 7 days I was shocked to be floored by the first couple of 2nd line treatments. As you describe w being sick, had never happened and also my 'bad'days extended to about 11 days. Secind time round. The chemo line got my anti sickness drug changed Domperidone to cytrozine(not sure I spelled that right!)which definitely helped.I did find almost constantly nibbling on crackers kept nausea at bay a little too. Things did seem to settle after 3 treatments but the 'bad days where still about 10 days. All in all I got a reasonable response to treatment so it was worth all the horribleness. Iam now on a maintenance.

Hope you are more comfortable now.

X

Hi. I’m so sorry you’re so sick! It’s miserable. Push your team for more anti-nausea meds and take everything you’ve got. I’m in the States so the names might be different but I had three plus they extended my steroids because I was nauseous for eleven days. Hope you’re better soon. Xx
