It will be 3 weeks tomorrow since my debulking surgery. Today I am in a little pain. Is this normal after having debulking surgery.
Hi everyone,: It will be 3 weeks tomorrow since... - My Ovacome
Hi everyone,
I can say that it has happened to me, too. There was a steady progress than all of sudden a slip and for a few days. I took some of the prescribed pain killers and the pain was sorted.
Although I had put a target of 6-8 weeks after surgery before I start to worry about any symptoms, one cannot help it and wonders about what's going on. If in doubt, have a chat with your nurse.
It’s so normal. Your body has been through the mill and the healing has started to take place, that will be painful sometimes. Take all the painkillers you need for now…. It will pass

Totally normal. I still gets tweaks 4 years later. Scar tissue will always be there.
Hi Sheenagh
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing pain following your debulking surgery. I can see you’ve had some informative replies from other forum members, so I’m just here to encourage you to speak to your clinical nurse specialist or a member of your medical team about this. As MH500 says above, your body has been through a lot; it’s important to share any issues that are worrying you with a clinician.
I hope the pain is feeling a little easier today. If you would like to talk through anything, please give us a call on 0800 008 7054. We’re here Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm.
Best wishes
Annie
