As we are all slightly different but have many similarities… you may want to inquire with your oncologist if this is or is not expected. From reading several profiles and comments, it appears that there are many ladies here that have a consistent CA125 level, but scans show improvement or reoccurrence as the CA 125 marker is not always a good indicator for them individually. I myself showed a reduction in my CA125 after each cycle of chemo… (but I also had a CA125 of 13,000. + at the start. That being said, my CA 125 went down each cycle, but when I had my CT scan after 3 cycles of chemo… there was no improvement of scan results and I couldn’t have my debulking surgery at that time. However, after I completed chemo cycles 4-6 , they could not see any cancer at all on my scan…and my CA125 didn’t drop as substantially as the first 3 cycles.

I know it’s hard not to focus on the CA125 number (we all can get wrapped up with it)… but it just may not be a good indicator for you individually. Try to have patience in the treatment plan made for you (easier said than done 🙂) and continue on as best you can. Things will work themselves out.

Prayers & Hugs!
