Has anyone else on rucaparib suffered with mouth sores?

Hi. I’m on Olaparib and have a kind of chronic sore inside my lip. I had some others earlier. They’re not that—just burn when I eat or drink.

H Cazbird. Yes I had really painful ulcers on my tongue and gums with both rounds of chemo. I gargled bicarb soda and water a few times a day and within a week they were healed. Good luck! Jill 🐨🐨🐨

Yrs, I get these. I find Corsodyl mouthwash a godsend.

I had problems whilst on chemo, luckily my chemo team give me a special mouth it was very good for sealing the sores in my mouth. They used to really help . Please don't suffer in silence there is help out there, dont try buying the mouthwash yourself its a special type very soothing. Good luck. Sending hugs & love SheilaFxxx

My oncologist prescribed a swish with Corsodyl twice a day. No trouble since then.

Thanks everyone. My GP has scared me. Sending me to see an oral surgeon for a biopsy. Says it might be cancer. Dont know what to think!

Yes GPs can do that! I had a very painful shoulder and mine sent me for an X-ray "in case cancer has got into the bone". The radiologist, a physio, several friends and the oncologist all said "it sounds like a frozen shoulder". And it was (thank the Lord). I suppose GPs have to check for the worst but they should chose their words more carefully x
