Just to show that it is still possible to ‘go for it’ post OC & chemo, I have just returned from a fabulous, (amazingly) sunny week in the Lake District having ticked another thing off my bucket list. I made it to the top of Scafell Pike!!!🎉🎉🎉
Definitely the hardest physical thing I have done since chemo and I really didn’t think I’d make it up there at one point and almost gave up. Couldn’t have done it without hubby’s encouragement and willingness to carry my backpack as well as his own in 28 degree heat 🥰
I have muscles that are still complaining loudly but it has given me another sense of achievement and determination to keep on ‘Carpe Diem’ing incase the ‘beast’ has another go at me
Keep refusing to let the buggar win ladies! We can do it! Life is very much what you make if it post chemo.
Love to you all. Keep positive,
Em

Good for you! I climbed most of a mountain in Tennessee with our kids in April. This was in the Smokey Mountains and I had to rest to catch my breath once in awhile. The view was awesome at the top. I sure felt the muscle pain in the following days. It is amazing what we can do while on treatments. My blood counts at the time were ok enough to do this. I’m on niraparib, 100 mgs. Do you take any parps? Just wondering, because my blood counts change sometimes. Hope you can keep trekking onward and upward! Donna( Michigan) xx.
Well done you - great achievement. I think I've done well if I get to the top of a moderate size hill😆. I've done some of my bucket list but I haven't worked out how to get photos on here yet. Jackie x
