Ive had the op 8 weeks ago now and came out 5kg lighter. In a week since I weighed myself I have put on 2kg! Worried that its ascites, is that possible when I have been debulked to no residual disease apparent ? I suppose if it is the 2 further chemos will sort it. Im sure I cant have eaten enough in a week to put that amount on !

Can it be ascites
Hi rosebine could be several ways to look at that 2kg gain ...constipation could be one where body is retaining, water retention may be an other especially if u are undergoing chemo, to be honest would not place alot of emphasis on it as pretty sure your team do weigh in at each appt think weight will ping up and down ...let me know how it goes.
Hi Rosebine good to read how well you are doing. Like you after they drained my pleural effusion I was about 5kg lighter and I seem to add a couple of kg in a day then I lose 1 kg. I worry its not fluid again but on another site a lady said her weight yoyos from day to day. Very odd I am on Rubraca and get constipation so it could be a bit of that. But it seems we are not alone but it does niggle away at you. Keep on keeping well.
Try not to worry about it too much, sounds quite normal. Happens to me all the time. Nurse said it could depend if you've been to the loo or not! Unless you have been told to do so, just weigh yourself once a week rather than daily if you need to.
Weigh yourself every day at the same time before eating. Track the trend. Weight can differ by as much as 2kg's. If you keep on picking up weight, then have it checked out
