Post Debulking results

Just had a copy of letter sent to my GP after surgery, there was a right ovarian mass 25cm and a left one 10cm which was twisted and necrotic!! None of which matched up to the CT scan measurements. Some benign fibroids and something nasty on my appendix and omentum. All "hoovered out" . Just goes to show that until the surgeon gets in they dont know really what is in there. No wonder I am 10 lbs lighter. Got phone consult with Oncologist next week.

Yes considering I was originally refused surgery as of no benefit !

And of the strength of this, I have booked myself a short break away with the dog. Not far away but somewhere different from home ! Possibly I have done this because I have just imbibed half a bottle of vino!

Sounds like good news. Obviously well worth the surgery despite what the CT scan showed. My own scan was quite accurate in assessing the mass. The only thing they couldn't tell was whether it was attached to my bowel or not Just my luck, it was. Anyway enjoy your upcoming break. Stay well and safe. Jackie
