Caelyx sickness

Hi my mum started caelyx on Friday and yesterday really suffered from bad sickness she has been sick a couple of times and a nose bleed. Has anyone else experienced this ?

I will call the nurses she’s sleeping at the moment so will check temperature when she wakes up.

Hiya Tina, oh your poor mum there is nothing worse, especially as she will be feeling tired too. I finished 6 rounds of carbo caelyx 30 th September and was given anti-sickness meds to take after each round when and if needed. I only felt sickly for a day or so and they really helped . I am surprised your mums oncologist hasn’t done this and if you ring the specialist nurses I'm sure they will be able to sort a prescription for her.

Sorry I’ve no experience of nose bleeds.

She has sickness meds but not working. We are at the hospital now getting her sorted xx

Hi. She may need hydration. And she should take all anti nausea meds. I felt quite sick for about six days each cycle.

Yes, dehydration can be awful. I went in a couple of times with that, because of diarrhea. We have to keep our fluid intake up for sure.
