I was diagnosed with Stage 2 clear cell endometrial cancer in June 2020. This is a rare, aggressive type of cancer. I am in the middle of chemo to fight this cancer, but my platelets are not cooperating. Chemo is always being delayed Dow to low platelets and this has caused me to be concerned about how effective my chemo will ultimately be, given the chemo schedule is always being interrupted.

It's best to talk to your team regarding this and what can be done. Also the Ovacome Support team can advise you. All the very best and try not to stress. Take care Sue xx
Hi,
It’s so frustrating at the time !! After my 1st chemo all the others were delayed, and I remember feeling the same as you. However I got there in the end ,weeks over schedule but with a good result . Ca125 from 6000+ to 28. People kept advising me to eat all sorts of things -wheatgrass was one , so awful to take and no effect . Just really have to wait for you bone marrow to get going again . I hope this might help to alleviate some worry ??

hi. i had that problem w carbogem infusions. went online andresearched medical sites such as cleveland clinic, mayo clinic etc. [edited by moderators] i tried papaya leaf tea [edited by moderators]. this is not necessarily going to work for everyone but [I believe] it worked for me esp important now that i am on weekly taxol. good luck. also helpful to work w an oncologist who specialized in rare cancers, which is what i did in france altho i just have ovarian.
