Good morning lovely ladies and thank you so much for all of your encouraging and supportive replies. I'm sorry that I haven't replied to everyone individually but the meds are wiping me out quite a bit.
I managed to leave hospital yesterday after my 2nd radiotherapy session. I've got to go back for the remaining 3 but it's so good to be back home. I'm on antibiotics for cellulitis in my arm from a cannula and more for my UTI after removal of my catheter but hopefully they will start working soon 😊
The problem with the trial was that they wanted me to come off dexamethasone before I started. My oncologist was trying to wean me off them but then when I was admitted into hospital, l was put on a high dose. This trial would also not take people who had had radiotherapy. I made the not very difficult decision to go for the least invasive treatment. I'm just hoping and praying that it works.
Sending you all lots of love 💗😙💞

What a difficult time you’re having I am so sorry. I do hope you feel comfortable soon and your energy returns and that the treatment is completely successful and effective.
Glad to hear you are home Sian and hoping the antibiotics kick in soon and you start to feel better. Wishing you nothing but the best. Big Hug, Kathy xx
You must be glad to be back home. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and you'll start to feel better.
I expect there will be another trial for you once the radiotherapy has done its job. A lot of trials seem to say they won't accept radiotherapy within a certain timescale, so fingers crossed.
Always good to be home . Sorry to hear your having such a hard time , I do hope that you feel better when you finish your antibiotics. They always make me feel rubbish. Sending hugs xxx
I’m glad you’re home but it sounds like you’ve been through an ordeal. I hope you finish the antibiotics soon and that the radiotherapy does it’s job. Lots of hugs!
This must be so hard for you Sian,& I so hope the radiotherapy works for you. I hope that you will soon recover from the nasties from the cannula and the removal of the catheter.
Thinking of you as you battle through this chapter, Sian. We should change your name to Welshandstrong so fight on through the antibiotic mist, complete your radiotherapy and regroup at the other side. All the best Gina x
Sorry you’re having such a hard time again Sian. So much better to be at home with all its comforts and hopefully you are now able to get some sleep to aid your recovery. (Hospital is the worst place to sleep isn’t it ) Sending love and hugs and wishing you well xxx
