Got appointment to see oncologist tomorrow for my regular checkup. My ca125 has increased from 1435 to 1668 over the course of 21 days. I have been on epitoside ? since feb . Was put on that as level had increased from 700 in nov to 1600 in feb. Level 1st dropped to 1200 at 1st dose & simce then flutuated around the 1400 mark. Unsure whats going to happen now with treatment. Ct scan 6 weeks ago shows shrinkage in liver tumour but slight increase in armpit node. I feel no different that what i did lastyear.

Sorry to hear your CA125 is on the rise, I am in a very similar position at the moment in that I finished chemo and am awaiting CT scan, I have a raised CA125, playing the waiting game really messes with your head, I have imagined all sorts of scenario's, from "were sorry there is nothing more we can do" to " your cancer has all gone"!!
What I do know for sure is that my team have my best interests at heart and will forge ahead with a new plan for me. Your team will do the same, we just have to trust them.
Try to stay busy and positive until your meeting tomorrow. Good Luck x
This is my last avaliable treatment. I started with carbo/ paxi in sep2018 followed by debulking surgery nov 2018 then another 3 of just carbo. In july 2019 i did gem ? with that finishing in nov 2019. Then current oral treatment. I have so far had 8 rounds of 14 day treatment with 7 days off between each.. Its the never knowing whats around the corner that does my head in. People look & say you look well. Treatments obviously working for you. If only they could see my thoughts. All they would see is a jumbled mess.
I started treatment in July 2018, I have not been told that I have reached my last available treatment? When you see your team tomorrow, explore every avenue, including clinical trials which are slowly opening up again.
I am in NZ. Did look at private options but as explaned to us was what i would pay $ 6000 per round for is no better that what i currently get in the health system. This sort of leaves me thinking what are my options now. They said i will never beat it but cant say how fast it could progress without treatment.
Everything crossed for your meeting tomorrow xx Kathy xx
Really hoping it’s good news for you, I know exactly how you must be feeling. Big hugs xxx
I was told in January 2017 that I was running out of treatments, but I've just started my 3rd type of tablets since then, one of them a repeat of a previous, & one of them a commonly prescribed hormone blocker that they'd overlooked the fact that I hadn't had it. I know hormone blockers are not suitable for everyone, but I hope there is something out there for you. Di
What do the hormone blockers do.
If your cancer is hormone receptive, they hold back the production of those hormones (I think) & may hold back the progress of the cancer for a while. The one I've just stopped taking, Letrozole, held back growth of mine for 2 years. Di
