Exhausted after chemo,3rd line

Hi,

Had 2nd carboplatin on Friday for 3rd line treatment.

Just feel totally exhausted (more so than usual)

Trying not to resort to bed during the the day but lounging on sofa trying to stay awake.

Anyone else had this problem? Any tips?

Temperature, and appetite fine. Neutrophils 1.6 before treatment so may be that.

It's very very common. Since chemo is cumulative, the build up after each treatment creates more fatigue. rest when your body tells you too.

Thanks for reply. Think I'm just disappointed as I was feeling quite well before it started again.

Dear Jan,

I always get wiped out the first week after infusion.

Let yourself relax and don’t be ashamed to stay under the duvet for several days.

The chemo will work it’s toxic magic and you will gradually be functional again.

Thanks for reply. Getting annoyed with myself (know it doesn't help). Hope it's just the usual hiccup I usually get after 2nd Chemo then things start going to schedule.

Every three weeks for six rounds.

If alll goes to schedule should be finished mid December.
