Hi everyone,

My third line chemo has just come to a stop, think they must have been injecting me with fertiliser, as it grown a bit instead of shrinking.

They are now talking about a trial called Dice, I’ve never heard of it, has anyone got any knowledge of it ? X

Sorry to hear your third line chemo has not been successful. You may already have this information about DICE trial featured on the Target OC site.

Link below incase helps.

Good luck with the trial and hope some ladies come along soon who can give you more info.

Love and best wishes Kim x

What a shame! But, that DICE trial sounds promising.

It’s designed for ladies who have become Platinum Resistant.

The medication not only works to change that, but actually seems to augment the effectiveness of Taxol.

I hope you get into the trial and it works a treat with few side effects...

Best wishes,

Laura

Wish you the best of luck with DICE.

Solid theory on the fertilizer. In my case it must have been liquid butter, judging by the weight gain. And here we trust the experts to provide us with the goodies. Well now we know, why treatments fail... ;-/

Hang in there. Hopefully the trial will do the trick. xx. Maus

You must be disappointed with these results, but I hope you can do the trial and that it both works for you and doesn't cause a lot of side effects!

The Taxols if administered over a long period have an ability to build resistance in our bodies rendering them ineffective. Sometimes Avastin is used to change that but recent studies suggest that certain anti inflammatory medications do the same. The taxols are still the best anti cancer cell treatment. From cost to effectiveness. Ask your Oncologist if this is what is happening in your body. Like so much of this each of us is different and react differently but worth checking on. Best wishes for a great solution to your problems.
