Funnier than any joke I know!

Went to a large supermarket to get a ready cooked chicken.

Me: hello do you have any ready cooked roast chickens.

Assistant: They will be another 5 mins

Me: OK I will come back.

5 mins later

Me: Can I have one of those chickens (pointing to the counter)

Assistant: Well the thing is, they are £6 - if you wait a minute I will take one of these chickens out (pointing to oven) bag and price it, put it on that display table behind you, and it will on be £4!

Me: Are they the same size?

Assistant: Yes

Confused? I sure as hell am!! 🤣

Still no cooking tonight - Yipeeee.

It’s because the Government put a tax on hot food. Once it has cooled down, the price goes down too. Completely barmy, but there you go. These people run the country. 😉
