Mum is having such a tough time. She’s now on her 7th admission since the diagnosis. She experienced breathing struggles after her 3rd cycle of chemo. Found she has heart failure as a result of chemo from breast cancer years ago. Because of this they are unwilling to operate on her. Just cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel and mum is so depressed.
Im so sorry to hear this. I hope they can find something to help yr mum both physically and mentally. Look after yourself too so you can be there to to help your mum xx Big hugs to you both xx
I'm sorry your mom is so poorly. Wish I was in a position to say it'll get better, you'll see. But I hope very much that she will get through this rough stretch eventually. Sending positive thoughts and prayers. xx. Maus
Hello ! I’m so sorry to hear what a hard time your mum is / was having . I had 2 longish admissions through side effects of FEC and Taxol , (neutropenia and pneumonia) and yes it’s very depressing but got almost to the end of the course
.now trying to get strength back with healthy diet , soft exercise, and a few vitamin supplements . I hope so much your mother gets great care from her specialists and they do everything in their power to improve her health . So much is available now . Look after yourself too!
I had severe breathing problems after m6 third chemo. Had scan, xray and blood tests but nothing was found. It got better but recurred a couple of times. Then, after 6 months on my clinical trial, shadows appeared on my lungs ans crackles could be heard. Now on steroids for mild pneumonitis. Still wonder if it was initially caused by the frontline chemo.
