Enjoying mother's day

Hi Ladies. I just wanted to wish you all a happy day and hope you have managed to spend some time with your loved ones. I received this lovely sign with a bottle of Prosecco along with some other lovely goodies from my daughters. It summed me up well and made me smile. I only had a glass because I'm 2 weeks post chemo number 2 but it was delicious and I felt so normal. I hasten to add that I'm not a big drinker but the occasional glass goes down very nicely!!!

Thanks for that!

My best friend came over with a bottle of Prosecco yesterday evening and it was lovely!

We sipped it and chatted out in the garden until it was too chilly.

She’s the friend who accompanies me on infusion days!

But that’s over for now! 2 weeks post last Carbo/Caelyx.

Able to take short walks, drive the car and cook dinner!

Relaxing with my daughter now.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Laura

Thanks Sophia. After a month's delay with low neutrophils I had the second one 2 weeks ago and it was so much more tolerable with the 20% reduction of caelyx. I hope you had an amazing holiday. Sian xxx

Thank you so much Jane. Yes I really appreciate every mother's day so much more now. It was so lovely. My husband and younger daughter came down to spend the weekend with my older daughter who lives in Swansea. I was spending some time here already and we had some good times eating ice cream in Mumbles, walking along the front in the sunshine and yesterday going for a lovely meal in a nice restaurant. I felt very spoiled. How are you doing at the moment?

I’m really good thank you, I had a lovely day pottering in the garden (gardening is a passion for me) with my lovely new trug and gardening tools, I’ve had some of my old ones since we got married so it was about time really 😂. I got taken to see Les Miserables a couple of weeks ago which was such a lovely early gift off my lovely hubby. We’re lucky ladies. Keep well lovely ❤️Xx Jane

Thank you Jane. Sounds like you had a lovely day too with new tools to boot. What a lovely day to spend in the garden. We are so lucky with the weather at the moment. It's like Spring and makes you feel so good being out in the sunshine. I'm envious of your trip to Les Miserables. I bet it was amazing. Yes we are very lucky ladies indeedx

You do look good... I got taken out for a meal (in Hammersmith, West London) and was given flowers, but the thing that made me laugh was the number of mothers being given an airing yesterday - everywhere we went there were groups of people with mums of varying ages all clutching bouquets - in the restaurant, walking in the streets, at the tube station and on the tube...

Lovely. I know what you mean. It was the same here. I used to live in Stamford Brook near Hammersmith when I moved to London in the early 80s. Very fond memories . So glad you had a lovely dayxxx
