How did you get on at the hospital today? I was having the same trouble as you with a 'cannot display' sign coming up so I can't get through to you[ and I suppose no one else can either] so I thought I'd try this way.

hi Anne-2. It was ok really nothing appeared to be showing up.. Failed attemp to pass tube into cervix..painfull. Now to insert meds to soften cervix for few weeks then short general anaesthetic for biopsy to exclude any chance of possible cancer.. so I am told. no bloods taken. Seems a bit drastic so early on. Feel like delaying things until something more definate than period pains and spotting.. Not sure why cannot display sign up hadnt a clue what I was doing realy at start not sure how to stop it. Bye.

Hi

I have had three of those tube things done and the last one was very painful - even more annoying was the result as the sample wasn't good enough! Having it done later will be better. I think they are called hysteroscopies and do seem to be a standard procedure now so don't panic!

Tell me when it happens. Take care.

HiAnne-2, Very interesting. How come painful for last one. Mine was dicontinued Tuesday due to painful, Was your other tests done under so called general anaesthetic or just sedation. As it is I am reluctant to have any pain as It shook me up, the effects took over later in day like shock reaction. ( doctors wouldnt understand if you told them ) So what happens now, did you make further progress.

Hi

Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner. Eventually I had the last one under a general- mainly they said it had been painful due to my age[ I was 62 then] but it was a very short op. and I got back to work quickly. I did find when they did it under a local I had cramps and didn't feel great but the wonderful nursing team told me to expect that.

Hope it goes alright.

Hi, Still not understanding. If it was general there shouldnt have been pain. do you meen it was painful after. How come sample not good. also to have it done 3 times seems odd, would have thought once was enough. Ah well woder if I will be told age as mid seventies. Seems like must expect anything.Taking the hormone pesseries to make it easier for doctor, have 17 days supply, so its when I can be fitted in for general. All very puzzeling.

I meant I had three done over aperiod of time- one in2006, one in 2007 and then the third one in 2010- itwasthat one that was unsuccessful and I had to have one done under a general about 3 weeks later.

Sorry again to confuse you- my fault!
