Hello....sending you a hug! I don’t have any advice apart from talking to your doctors again and trying to get some symptom control xx

Am so sorry to hear this but no idea what to suggest. Have the doctors given you any tablets or advice? I think they sometimes give a drug called dexamethasone - it's a steroid that works to reduce swelling in the brain. If they haven't offered anything maybe you can see someone else?

There is a special radiotherapy you can now get for brain lesions, its called stereotactic radiation maybe your team might consider this, sending hugs

Oh, I’m sorry you are struggling so much! Do you have a palliative care contact who might be able to help you with some relief from the symptoms? I hope you can catch a break. Vicki x

You don’t say what symptoms you have but it’s not right that you are distressed by them . Please contact your doctor/ palliative care team for support and advice .

Dear Aotters,

So sorry you are having this terrible ordeal.

If you have the strength, or if your daughter could help you,

type Brain Mets in the search box here and you will find others undergoing the same thing.

You can message them privately for advice.

But also, you need help from your local hospital and your CNS nurse.

Do call the Ovacome support team and in the UK, you can also contact the MacMillan Cancer Charity for help, support and advice.

Get your family involved.

Talk to your children and partner about this.

It is all too much for you to deal with alone.

Best wishes,

Laura

I also support all the suggestions above. Recently I found the local Macmillan palliative care team really helpful and they can work with your drs to switch up pain meds. Also read that cannabis oil has been helpful for brain Mets but that is a whole different area that you and your family would need to discuss... good luck with anything that helps you x
