The doc has made a quick referrel (jan 8th) to the neurology dept to insert a fibre optic camera into my bladder(agghh) also on the same day(which I will be changing) an app to see a gynecologist, I have a cyst n fibroid but they say that's not what's causing all the pain in my back & down my left side, soo frustrated & frightens, anyway maybe 2019 will bring some good luck

You poor thing,

It sounds like you are miserable, but at least steps are being taken.

This fibre optic camera seems like a weird step, but with blood in your urine, something must be up.

It would be really great if you could get that Gyny appointment brought forward, because all of this misery could be related.

I hope you can stay strong for another week, but please do not hesitate to get yourself to the emergency room if pain and bleeding are worse.

Many of us received our first accurate diagnosis in A&E.

Best wishes,

Laura

I actually had a gyny appointment on the same day(just my luck) but I canceled and re appointed for a couple of days later, I didn't fancy see my gyn after being poked & prodded at in the morning then having to go to a different hospital to see gyny

I had kidney stents removed via the bladder and it was surprisingly painless so no need to be afraid. They put in the camera / fibre optic and a thin wire with grabbers and I watched the whole thing It took about 4 minutes to remove both stents. Once they can see what’s going on the misery of utis will be lessened.

The gynaecologist appointment is important too and with luck will rule out other issues.

Hope all goes well
