Well Niraparib isn’t too bad, headaches and nausea but won’t stop me from the odd topple and enjoying my Christmas. We’re only here once. Happy Christmas to all, enjoy and try to forget this crap disease for one day

Thanks for the update and Christmas greetings.

May I ask, do the headaches and nausea fade away during the day?

How is your fatigue ratio?

Mild, medium or none at all?

Do you take tablets every day?

Does it make you nauseous to swallow them?

Can’t help but ask...

Meanwhile, have a good Christmas Day.

Wishing you all the best.

Hugs,

🌲🥰🌲,

Laura

It’s ok I don’t mind answering.

Headache was worse first few days but not hardly got one now. Nausea comes and goes but getting easier, find it better to nibble on ginger or dry biscuit.

Fatigue I would say worse in morning overall medium depends on what I’m doing.

Yes take 2x 100 mg every night. Not nauseous to swallow.

Worse thing is aching on and off and foot pain but I had that from chemo and giving me very dry mouth so drinking lots of water and juices xxx

Thanks for that.

Next will be to see how your bloods do.

Is there a plan for testing ?

That was my main concern, because I did so bad blood wise on first line, but my results during Carbo/Caelyx are okay, so I am not so worried about the Parps now.

Glad you are doing okay.

Can you function like a normal person yet or are you taking it easy?

Hugs,

Laura

Your welcome. Yes I’m going for bloods doing tomoz and then every two weeks. Then see onc 3 weeks. Yes my white cells were not great during last few chemos so we will see how they go.

Yes today feel quite good, no queasiness that seems to have passed. Just bad nights sleep again had a good clean up then going to chill for a bit

That’s good to know that they are keeping a close watch on you. Very reassuring.

Here is what I have been doing to help sleep:

As I do not need to take my favourite mild anti nausea med, Cyclazine, regularly anymore, it’s sopirific effect has come back, so if I suddenly can’t drop off to sleep, I just take a Cyclazine and fall asleep pretty soon...

Hope this helps!

And thanks again for all your helpful updates.

Hugs,

Laura

Hi SamJane

Hope your day went well and that you had a pain free Christmas day. Plus I do hope that you enjoyed a tipple and definitely did not have that topple! Talk care and enjoy the rest of the season.
