Yes- very sore and itchy. Not until the 5th treatment. Used Eucerin for this and dryness

Sorry you're experiencing this.

I got the rash on my feet (it's called hand and foot syndrome). Call your team asap and ask for their recommendations. There might be a cream they can prescribed or recommend.

When my rash flared up, I wrapped my feet in a plush towel I have in the freezer, and put ice packs under the towel. And I creamed and creamed and creamed my feet. It luckily went away. I had difficulty walking.

This rash can really get nasty so get some medical help. I googled it and some people had really bad rashes. Keep putting a good moisturizer on your hands especially after you wash them. Someone here said she went on the Caelyx manufacturer's website and read that we shouldn't use a cream with glycerin. I haven't checked this out for myself because I have no doubt she's correct, and I'm off Caelyx now.

Best wishes,

XXOO

Yes my mum did. They then prescribed her with steroids and steroid cream which helped alot x

Yes I had that I was prescribed cream which helped a lot, mine eventually just shed off the dry skin and didn’t reoccur so I hope yours does as well.

Hi - my mum had Caelyx. (2nd line). After the third dose her hands became so sore and started cracking. Her feet were affected too and other parts of her body. She had been using the small ice packs and Udder cream. But, things got so bad the 4th dose had to be reduced by 20% and things were fine after that. Good luck. Jane x

It’s common to have skin probs with it.. I recommended another lady MooGoo as it's amazing - really helps. The original moisturizer ( quite costly but worth every penny as she agreed her chemo had been stopped and she could continue with it ..) xxx good luck

Oh dear,my rash was all over my bottom , like dreadful , untreated nappy rash ! Foot and hand are common with caelyx sadly , but mine was so horrible the Prof gulped in horror when he saw it ! Took me off it and put me back on cisplatin ....and the rash went in a week . Used Boots natural baby cream and bath stuff . Cheap and excellent xx

Hi . Yeso. Am on 5th of 6 caelyx treatments and hands became very very sickeningly itchy after 3rd . At most acute very red swollen and itchy but not blistered . Need to keep cool . I was doing ice packs .Pharmacist recommended EURAX cream which has ingredient to treat itch and antihistamine tablet. I also use Moo Goo balm from health food shop . They are drying out and peeling now despite cream +++

Funny, I’m just sitting in the doctors cos I’ve got a blister type rash between all my fingers, so yes 😁. I got it slightly with my 4th chemo, but this 5 th one it is definitely worse along with sores in my mouth, that are a real pain in the butt 🙄

I’ve just been prescribed a steroid cream and a moisturiser to use, my hands are an irritant, but it’s the sore mouth that’s a real pain

I've been very lucky so far, I'm on my 4th round of Caelyx and haven't developed a rash as yet although, my consultant did warn me about it as a possible side effect. Sounds awful.
