As you may know, Lee Rowley MP is leading a Westminster Hall debate on ovarian cancer diagnosis and treatment on Tuesday 30 October.
In the lead up to the debate, people’s thoughts and experiences are being gathered in the comments section of a post on the House of Commons Facebook page.
A summary of the comments that are posted will be sent to Lee Rowley MP who can then use them to inform the debate.
If you would like to share your experience, please leave your comment in the post on the UK House of Commons Facebook page:
Having read a lot of the comments on the FB page there are many frighteningly similar stories.
Just wondered if it’s worth flagging that anyone can post. So I can post my story but my husband and family members can also post.
Is it worth getting as many comments as possible posted?
I posted my story in summary on FB for the debate. But I’ve also been bombarding GMB, Lorraine & This Morning to do a cover story on Ovarian Cancer. They’ve all been discussing breast & cervical cancers recently but no mention of OC I just asked them to highlight the symptoms to get the message out there. But I’m being ignored which is really annoying me, I know there are many many cancers but when specifically discussing breast & cervical surely ovarian should get a look in? Am I wrong? Sorry rant over I’m just frustrated
In no way could you be thought to be wrong. I have been bombarding hurst publishing for over two years now, they produce lots of women’s magazines (Prima being the one I subscribe to) and they regularly have articles on both breast and cervical cancer. To date they have done a small paragraph on our symptoms closely followed by a two page spread on our pink ladies. Isn’t it frustrating?. I too will start working on the morning breakfast shows, hopefully somebody will take it up if enough nuisances annoy them. We can only hope, keep up the good work lovely ❤️Xx Jane ,
