Hello lovely ladies,
9 days ago I had the jj stent which has been in my left ureter since last August changed. I’d had two treatments of Avastin cancelled due to blood in urine and because of the operation. When I saw my oncologist on 30 August she made the appointment for me to have Avastin today.
After arriving at the clinic the lovely nurse tells me that I shouldn’t have Avastin today because it’s too close to the operation, they like it to be at least two weeks apart,
It takes us over an hour to get to the clinic, so that’s a pain. However, causing me concern is the fact that it’ll be 10 weeks without Avastin and they haven’t made an appointment for a PET scan which I should have next month. I don’t have an appointment to see the oncologist until 20 November.
Am I being overly concerned about the gap in treatments? Really don’t want this beast to start growing again!
Am going back a week today so will ask about PET scan then as oncologist ‘s secretary was busy this morning.
Hoping you’re all doing well. Sending big hugs
Joy xx
