I know how highly rated Professor Gordon Jayson is by those of you he's treated. I thought you might like to see this article on him where he's been nominated for an award: dailymail.co.uk/health/arti...

Thanks for the link Anna... interesting about the possible rerun of avastin for some women from a blood test. I wish he was my oncologist , but he seems mainly to see second referrals and possibly more difficult cases....
Funnily I am under his clinic but being on a clinical trial I have never met him in person.. Dare say I would if I needed to (hope I don't have to!). I believe Debs was cared for by him and I know that everybody has nothing but the best to say about him. A truly remarkable man.
He’s a true gentleman, I’ve met him in clinic a few times, he always has time to chat about how you’re feeling as well as any clinical issues, I always felt involved in my care. I took part in a worldwide trial that his colleague was lead fellow on in 2014 and obviously the prof was heavily involved too, they are a fantastic team who continue to have successes and who strive to make bigger pathways into treating our cancer. I spoke with him just prior to him being guest speaker at the ovacome conference in London a couple of years ago, he was really pleased to be invited and be involved and to be able to pass on his knowledge in the hope it helped ladies be diagnosed earlier. All his colleagues have great admiration and respect for him. I hope he wins this and by doing so further raises further awareness and recognition of this awful disease.
Thank you Anna for sharing this I’m thrilled he’s been nominated ❤️Xx Jane
HI Anna, Yes I read about Prof. Jayson and his nomination yesterday in the Mail. A lovely thing to do and he would well deserve to win. The Prof. is always 100% behind the ladies on this site. He presents not only as a very knowledgeable man in his field but also a very human man who always takes an interest in his patients and issues they may have. You can probably tell I am one of his patients, although I generally don't see him personally these days, but I know he keeps oversight of all! Thanks for sharing Anna. Gwenxx
Hi I’m under Prof Jayson for the CEBOC trial and he is such a lovely man. I feel safe in his care and he genuinely takes an interest and makes you feel like he will go that extra mile for you!
Hello - just wondered if there is news yet to hear if he won this award? He is an amazing man and yes I’m lucky enough to be under his team for now ( until I have to return eventually to London..) and I can genuinely say - I haven’t met anyone on my “journey” that has been so genuinely kind. Thank you for posting this!
The closing date was 31 July and I've just googled and can't see anything about the winners, so I don't think they've been announced yet. If I hear any news I will post to let the forum know!
