Thank you all so much for your love and support. It was a really bad couple of days but I think I've enough big knickers to get me going again. My baby son was crying on the phone today, which was unbearable to hear, but he's booking a trip over with little grandson as soon as he can get time off work. That will be wonderful. I've also got some UK friends booking for later in the year to visit, if I'm up to it. Which I absolutely will be. So, today is the first day of round three and I'm ready for it.
Most of you expressed your admiration for my doc so perhaps you may like to see this. It is an article from our paper so perfectly public. If you cannot understand the language don't worry as it's all about the cancer support association at my clinic. Dr G is now president, not vice, as he was elected recently. I don't go myself as it's all french and my brain hurts but perhaps in the future I'll be brave enough as he's said I wouldn't be the only english speaking person there. Hope you like his happy smile and no........!!....... I do not have a grandma crush. But, I would be very proud if he was one of my sons.
Naughty girl!! Yes it is. He's ok but I don't really do facial hair and I'm old enough to be his granny probably - or at least his mammy - but he's got a nice kind face and a lovely bedside manner. I suppose you are getting even more excited now. Behave missy xxxxxx
Very much ' I would trust you with my life face'.... you are very lucky to have him as your doctor...
If you can't get to visit your children then they come to you. My daughter from Vancouver and family set off on Monday to stay with my son in Hampshire first ..if I feel up to it we may go down for a couple of days as we won't see all of them here for a week or so after..
Hope it makes me forget about 'stuff' for awhile
X
You could be surprised by the amount of English speakers in your group so I say go for it. Yes I could swop as your oncologist has a kind face, I hope your son and grandson get over to see you soon, all the best
What are you girls like?? I'm obviously missing something but I can see something I suppose. He comes to work on a motorbike. I've seen him arriving in his leathers . Now, that is enough to send you all into overdrive!!! Shame he'll never know he has a growing fan club over the Channel. xxxxx
So glad you’re getting there. Your Onc looks nice, a lovely kind face. Like Ali, my French isn’t good enough - my A Level goes back to 1970 and we were too busy studying Moliere, Gide etc to do much speaking so not much use. I did live in a French speaking country in Africa -Senegal for a year but that was 45 years ago. I’m high on steroids, my second chemo is tomorrow. My Onc is reducing the dose so that I can hopefully avoid neutropenia this time. Fingers crossed. Better put my light out and see if I drift off as the alarm will go at 0630 😴😬 🌹🌼🌺🌻🌸 love Jo
I knew those knickers would be around somewhere (surprisingly I've found them at the bottom of the cheese drawer sometimes ...) Well done!
