I do feel like I am not as quick to have answers as I used to be and sometimes it takes me a few min. to think through what I am doing. I do all our paper work, bills, lists and very often feel like I am forgetting to finish something. It is frustrating. But I just finished 5 days of radiation after many, many types of chemo since 2016 when my cancer returned. I am praying and trusting that this will be the end of it and I can live out the rest of my days cancer free .

Hi grma4,
I can really relate to how the brain doesn’t seem to “fire on all cylinders”!
I too have to keep reminding myself of things & I definitely get ‘word blindness’, when I can’t seem to find the right word for what I am trying to say! I have to write things down - I always was a ‘list’ person, but I am even more so now!
The way to look at it is - we’ve all done SO well, undergoing chemotherapy, surgery & for you, radiotherapy. So give yourself a pat on the back & keep those brain cogs whirring! 🙂
Best of wishes for your treatment, (& a long, unending remission),
Linda xx
There is something we get called chemo fog and we forget things, but try not to stress at this makes it worse. I feel you have been through a hard time and now is the time to recover and take it easy. All the best
Chemo brain at its best. Took me about six months to get back to normal but still can be forgetful now have my trusty notebook

I have terrible brain fog although it clears occasionally. Short term memory is abysmal.
I know the feeling. I’m always going into a room and don’t know why. The worst one is when go upstairs and don’t know why. Back down and of course I remember. At least I’m adding to my daily distance walked.
