Hi Babyboy1! Nerves before scans, blood work and appointments are as common as itching after a mosquito bite! In my humble opinion it's that anxiety that may be the hardest part of all of this - the waiting, the wondering, the worry. Since my birthday is on July 29the - the day BEFORE your scan - I say focus on that instead. It will give you time to save up for my gift... which you can leave in the driveway... with a big red bow, and the key in the ignition! ;-) Seriously though, you sound like you are moving forward with courage and strength in the face of a cancer that can be ruthless! "Quiet confidence" is that thing I'm always clinging to but hard to keep a grip on. Nice that you've got it in hand! I w as wondering where that pic in front of the waterfall was taken? Are you in the US or the UK? I'm in the US (Texas). Will be thinking about you and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! XO

Hello babyboy1......I am also grade 4 OC and when I found out I really freaked out as well, I felt they were saying "sorry it has spread too far for us to do anything about it" however my gynecologist told me to take no notice of the grading as we are all different, we all respond to treatment differently and our bodies behave in different ways. Stay strong and believe as I do that you can kick this disease into remission! what ever your grade of stage!!

Good Luck on the 30th.............get prepared to celebrate!!!!!

Thanks Lyn! I think exactly like you do, particularly as I feel so well - in fact at the moment if I didnt know I had cancer I wouldn't think anything was wrong! After the scan my daughter in law and I are going out to lunch, so something to look fwd to afterwards! How,are you getting on with your journey?xxxDawn!πŸ˜€πŸ’—πŸŽ€

in reply to babyboy1

Hello Dawn - my treatment plan is 3 chemo then operation then 3 more chemo. I have had 1st chemo and have had very few mild symptoms so I guess very lucky ( began to wonder if it was working! cant win ha ha) 2nd session on the 25th. Sadly many of us are diagnosed at a later stage, my doctor thought I had Diverticulitis and sent me to see a Gastroenterology, wasted weeks going down that route! Oh well treatment under way now!

Good luck with the scan and have a lovely lunch with a tipple or 6.
