Well Thursday was fab day, called in at work, back to normal house work, all good stuff. Friday not too bad, shopping for christening outfit bit tired end of day but to be expected. Oh and oral thrush ...lovely!! Then this morning....wtf 10 hours sleep and woke feeling crap. Banging headache, mouth full of sores as well as the thrush, appetite not great, aches and pains on bones and the most noisy gurgling tender tummy with wind. 😬Managed a trip to town and been asleep for 2 hours. Wondering if now in my blood level dropping time as was told around days 10-14. Oh well it’s quite a little rollercoaster this week. Roll on bedtime. Oh cancer you really are a little **** 😡😡

Oh dear. Sounds crap. I'm ok. Back in UK and out all day on only 5 hours sleep last night but lovely daughter in law cooking dinner now and I've got my feet up. No pains, no mouth sores, no nausea. I'm knackered but ok. Early night for me though. Have you tried bicarb mouthwash? Worked for me last year as kept everything away. Hospital recommends it and gave me gallons of the stuff. I do hope you feel better very soon. xxxx

Are you on Caelyx as I've just experienced the same, thought I was doing really well then wham, ended up with a mouth full of ulcers and couldn't eat for a week or even talk. My onc nurse sent me to a&e as she thought I was probably neutropenic and I was, they kept me for four days to get the ulcers under control.

Ask your nurse about jelclare, you mix it with water and wash it round your mouth, make sure you spit it out, it'Coates your ulcers with a kind of cling film which takes away the pain and enables you to eat, it lasts about an hour.

Good luck with your next one, I'm dreading mine, think I'll try the bicarb Kryssy mentioned.

Good luck Fiona x

HI. Well done with your day off actives, just a few words of encouragement I now just started Caebo/ Caelyx it is the second time on this combo and also I had single Caelyx with some bad side effects but managed all treatments with good results. in the last couple of years I notice more ladies are given Caelyx,

I know we are all different but it can be very effective.

Caelyx breaks down over the month of treatment, you might know this already, this way the chemo is in the blood longer and reaches the cancer. hopefully to give y0u the besi results possible

Take care and keep positive Lorraine xx

I don’t want to be patronizing but have you checked your temperature? Headache, aches etc could be signs of an infection somewhere.

Hope you get better soon.

Samjane--I was waiting for a "back to normal, feeling great" post and not getting it! I am so sorry you are dealing with so many side effects and hoping the can get under control for you. Ladies here always have such good advice but I would also ring your onc if the sores persist or you continue to feel like crap! Fingers crossed it is only a short time.....thinking of you! oxox

Thank you, bit of a rollercoaster hopefully will pick up again soon.

I’m going to ring nurse Tomoz see if they can sort any more anti sickness for me so at least I can eat better.

Thank you xx😘
