Positive Thoughts

So I have been lucky , had a colon op in February this year and was given the all clear with no Chemo afterwards , looking at regular check ups every six months but was a major wake up call at 55 years old. Decided to revisit my life so no more takeaways , junk food , miss the doughnuts and joined Slimming World and a Gym! Family shocked to say the least at the new me but supportive and am feeling the benefit. Sadly my Sister has not been so lucky with Ovarian Cancer diagnosed and operated on last February , now after two rounds of Chemo and various other treatments she has just been told , this Tuesday , that its back and unfortunately this time there is no way to treat so she is classed as terminal but no time limit on the remainder of her life. So all my support to her and the nieces and nephews for as long as needed

So sorry to hear this devastating news for your sister x is she going to get a second opinion and maybe look at a trial? Stay positive as hard as it may seem something may come up x

What previous chemos and treatments has she had?

Sending hugs

Bev

Full hysterectomy, also now has two Stoma , chemotherapy didn’t work and surgery was not fully successful although cancer classed as aggressive and keeps popping up in unexpected places

She is coming to terms with situation and has fully supportive family and friends but The Royal Marsden have said no more to do so prepare for the end!

The Royal Marsden is one of the best cancer hospitals in the U.K. but you still might want to consider a second opinion. A different pair of eyes may see things otherwise. Do you know your sister's exact diagnosis?

Good luck with your new lifestyle, sorry about the doughnuts but you won't miss them for long.

Glad you have the all clear but so sad your relief has to be tinged with sadness for your sister. Do hope she is comfortable. Love and sympathy to you both. Solange. Xx😊
